Serrated Tussock is a perennial drought-resistant, tussock-forming grass with a deep root system.

It is a serious weed in New South Wales because it has low feed value and is unpalatable to sheep and cattle.

It is hard to identify tends to infest high-producing country, seeds prolifically and is readily dispersed by wind, water, animals and man and is particularly difficult and costly to control on non-arable land.
